The PAMA Solution

Perspectives And Mindset Alignment - Founded to empower people of all ages and race through cultural education, sports coaching, mentoring, and school guidance. PAMA program has been established by Garang Kuer Bul, a compassionate, multi-talented, and visionary individual, aiming to create a positive impact on society.

Vision and Mission

With a deep understanding of the struggles faced by families, young people, and particularly the South Sudanese community, Garang established PAMA to foster academic excellence and instil values of teamwork, discipline, cultural understanding, and perseverance in aspiring athletes. Growing up in a war-torn country, Garang witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of conflict on his community. He also experienced the challenges of being a teen in both South Sudanese and Australian cultural upbringings since arriving in Australia as a teen. Despite these challenges, he remained determined to create a better future for himself and those around him.

Goals and Objectives

Garang envisions PAMA evolving into a village-city that leads in gathering data, connecting the community to the right path, and offering informed advice to help the community and individuals understand the viewpoints and mindsets of both cultures, people, and environments. PAMA partners with people who are aware of the why, how, when, who, and potential ways to connect everyone’s ideas. Garang created PAMA because he believes that shared culture, environment, systems, and ways of life are crucial. It can help us learn about different ways of living, approach, and adapt to new environments.

Community Engagement

To help the community, PAMA is actively involved in outreach programs and community engagement initiatives. We run basketball training, coaching courses, organise workshops, and other training sessions to equip individuals and families with the skills and knowledge needed to improve their quality of life.

Positive Change and Inclusivity

PAMA aims to influence positive change and create a more supportive environment for families. With a wide range of services and a focus on inclusivity, PAMA aims to uplift and empower families, helping them overcome challenges and build a brighter future. Through community engagement and advocacy, PAMA strives to create a positive impact on society as a whole.

PAMA Focus Areas

PAMA focuses on empowering individuals through tutoring, sports coaching, and school advising. We aspire to help our community lead the way to a brighter future and greater opportunities for the next generation. PAMA is an excellent tool for delving deeply into the cultural norms of both Australian and South Sudanese societies, bridging tradition and modernity. We also address issues affecting our community in Australia and various cultural traditions. Here are some of the main topics our organization will cover:

  • Identifying the “disagreement” between the elder and younger generations.

  • Youth perspectives in the new culture versus parental perspectives.

  • Revisiting foundational ideas and cultural practices: the Dinka way of life versus the modern way of life.

  • Learning fundamental cultural concepts and conventions of the modern world—the Australian way of life.

  • Comparing perspectives of traditional systems and modern world systems (institutions).

PAMA offers a wide range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of families which includes Tutoring, Sports Coaching, Cultural Education and School Advising.
